ALASTAIR MILLER

As Principal Advisory Consultant for Kordia’s specialist cyber security division Aura Information Security, Alastair is responsible for helping a wide range of organisations transform their approach to security. His experience spans more than two decades in information security across both enterprise and government.

Alastair started his career at British Telecom in the United Kingdom.  Since moving to New Zealand, he has held key security roles with Dimension Data, Spark and was most recently Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at NSP.

His expertise spans a wide range of security related fields including cloud security architecture, security operations centres (SOC) / SIEM, privacy and governance.  He has numerous qualifications in the advisory space including CISM, CISSP, CIPM, CRISC and CGEIT.  He also has particular expertise in the specific data security needs of the healthcare industry. 

Alastair is a respected thought leader in the cyber security industry, a finalist in the 2022 iSANZ awards for Best Senior Security Practitioner and is regularly called upon by media and government to provide commentary and advice.
