Perspectives from the US Boardroom with Lisa Shalett, co-founder of Extraordinary Women on Boards

Lisa Shalett is a former Goldman Sachs Partner who now serves as a corporate advisor and independent board director. She is the Co-Founder of Extraordinary Women on Boards, an influential, peer-to-peer private membership network of hundreds of women corporate board directors focused on advancing board excellence and modernizing governance.
Well-known for her agility, and as a trusted connector and sought-after thought partner, Lisa’s expertise spans global risk and crisis management, capital markets, marketing/brand strategy, digital transformation, innovation, talent development, and governance. Having served on boards of many types, Lisa brings a deep understanding of stakeholder priorities and long-term value creation. Over her 25+ year career, she has held global leadership roles ranging from International Equities, to Compliance, Risk and Audit, to Brand Marketing, and Strategic Innovation. She managed Goldman Sachs’ brand through the financial crisis, and she also has a background in Japan.
Lisa currently serves on the boards of PennyMac Financial (NYSE: PFSI; Nom/Gov Chair; Audit Committee); FTAC Emerald Acquisition Corp (Nasdaq: EMLD); Japan-based VC-fund MPower Partners (Board chair); and Lord Abbett’s Alternatives Fund Board (Independent Trustee, Nom/Gov Chair), and she informally advises a number of growth companies. Previously she served on the boards of Brookfield Property Partners, AccuWeather, PerformLine, and Bully Pulpit Interactive. She earned her MBA from Harvard Business School, and BA, summa cum laude, in East Asian Studies (Japan) from Harvard University. She lives in NYC.

KP was also previously Director of the NZ Rugby Foundation.
