Join us for an exclusive tour of the Waimea Community Dam
We are delighted to invite you to an exclusive visit to the Waimea Community Dam, an engineering marvel that has transformed the Waimea Plains. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the Dam, learn about its construction and operation, and understand its crucial role in our community.
The Waimea Community Dam is a significant infrastructure project located just 23kms out of Richmond. This Dam is designed to address water scarcity issues, support agricultural activities, and enhance environmental sustainability in the region.
Following the visit, please join us for networking and refreshments at Nelson Marlborough branch sponsor Findex’s boardroom and a short presentation from Tasman District Council about local government oversight and establishing a Council Controlled Organisation (CCO) governance model.
