Overview

Directors and their organisations are facing increasing compliance costs, along with expanding duties and liabilities—not just for company directors, but also for board members of incorporated societies and trusts. Risks are also rising due to factors like the publication of residential addresses and increased public visibility of directors.

Legislation and regulations affecting directors are changing constantly, making it difficult to stay informed. Significant legislative changes in the past four years have only added to this complexity.

The Governance Leadership Centre (GLC) plays a crucial role in helping directors and boards stay up to date with these changes, demystify complex governance issues, and work with government and regulators to ensure legislative changes minimise compliance burdens while supporting effective governance.

Join us for a fireside chat session with Guy Beatson CMInstD, IoD General Manager Governance Leadership Centre, to hear updates on recent developments affecting directors and boards, insights about their impact, and an opportunity to provide feedback on articles, guidance and engagement on legislation and regulations.  This session with be facilitated by Judene Edgar CMInstD, IoD Senior Governance Advisor.
