Juliet has had a varied career taking her from New Zealand to London, Geneva, Gabon, Liberia, Syria, Tunisia, Zambia, Scotland and back to New Zealand. With her wealth of knowledge she established her own consulting company specialising in corporate governance and strategic planning. She has served as a director in New Zealand on health boards, state-owned entities, publicly-listed companies and private companies and worked extensively in the Pacific and Africa.
Juliet received the Commonwealth Medal for Services to the Community, the Queen’s Service Order for Public Service and was awarded the NZ Institute of Directors United Kingdom Study Award.
She is committed to promoting sound and effective governance across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors in New Zealand. She believes that good governance produces creative strategic initiatives, effectively manages risk, improves compliance and delivers better outcomes to all stakeholders.
Juliet now runs her governance consulting business from a lifestyle block near Greytown, with 50 long finned eels and 20 different species of New Zealand native birds.
