Lisette is a corporate and commercial partner at Buddle Findlay. Her expertise is in corporate transactions (M&A, joint ventures and restructuring), commercial contracting and corporate governance. She regularly advises boards and management on governance matters and is also a trustee of the Buddle Findlay Child Health Foundation.
As a company and commercial lawyer Lisette frequently interacts with boards and management reporting to boards, but observes that good governance and leadership is essential for effective performance by entities of all kinds. The expectations and risks that directors face are constantly growing and governance standards in New Zealand are rising as directors understand more about their role and the risks of getting it wrong.
Outside of work, Lisette juggles the challenge of being a mother to two teenage daughters who seem to have inherited their mothers' love of adrenalin sports.
