Wellington Branch

Wellington Branch

The Wellington Branch is the hub for IoD members based in the lower North Island including Hawke’s Bay, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wairarapa and Wellington regions. Most of our 2000 members live in the greater Wellington region. We are fortunate to be supported by a committee that sets the strategic direction of our branch initiatives and activities and also have great member networks across the region through our subcommittees.

Our branch benefits from its geography. We draw on the expertise of governance experts from the agriculture, horticulture, forestry, farming, and science and technology research sectors. We also keep our finger on the pulse of government and the public sector, the focus of our annual governance in government event series.

We run about 40 events across the region each year. These are a great opportunity for members to network and hear from guest speakers on governance topics.

I am delighted to be part of the IoD whanau and to use my event / project management experience to assist the Wellington Branch, Hawke’s Bay and Manawatu-Whanganui sub-committees.

I live with my family on the beautiful Kāpiti Coast and when not working enjoy everything the region has to offer, particularly the biking and the beaches.

Please contact me if I can help with queries related to membership, Branch events or the services IoD offer.  I look forward to meeting you.

I am enjoying learning and growing with the IoD and assisting our Wellington Branch members with their governance journeys. Coming from a background of hospitality and tourism, mainly in luxury lodges, I have found my skills suit my role well at the IoD as I gain more knowledge in the governance space.

Outside of work, I love the outdoors, hiking in nature, time at the beach, reading in the sun…sometimes I do have to question my choices of living in Wellington having grown up in Hawkes Bay!

I look forward to connecting with you. Please reach out if I can be of any help.
