The 21st Annual Meeting of the Nelson Marlborough Branch of the Institute of Directors will be held this year on Monday 2 December 2024 from 5.30pm, at The Boathouse, 326 Wakefield Quay, Nelson.

We've listened to feedback that some of you would like a slightly more relaxed format. In a departure from the traditional formal dinner, this year’s AGM will be a relaxed networking event with drinks and canapes. This aims to create an engaging atmosphere, allowing you to mingle freely and easily connect.

The AGM will be followed by a Q&A session with Abby Foote CFInstD who will share insights into governance and her experience as seasoned professional director.

Abby was the recipient of the New Zealand Shareholder Association’s prestigious Beacon Award for 2023, presented in recognition of the leadership, courage, and respect of an individual or team within the New Zealand business community.  She is passionate about how risk thinking can add value to commercial organisations and is a member of the Steering Committee of Chapter Zero New Zealand.  Abby is currently a director of KMD Brands Limited and Freightways Limited. Her previous roles include Chair of Christchurch City Holdings and Z Energy and a director of Sanford, Transpower, TVNZ, Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa Tongarewa, Livestock Improvement Corporation, and the Local Government Funding Agency.

The annual meeting will commence at 6pm.
