Overview

Experience delightful company and engaging conversations over drinks and canapes while immersing yourself in the ambiance and striking architecture of this impressive venue.  

This marks our last gathering for 2024, and we can't wait to spend the evening with you and colleagues.

We also welcome Maurice Williamson to share his journey in governance from joining the NZ National Party in 1978 to being New Zealand's Consulate General in Los Angeles to being back in New Zealand.

Hon. Maurice Williamson

Hon. Maurice Williamson joined the NZ National Party in 1978 and first won the Pakuranga seat in August 1978 and held it until retiring 30 years later in August 2017.  Ministerial portfolios held during 1990 thru to 2014 were Broadcasting, Building & Construction, Customs, Land Information, Statistics, Transport, Research, Science and Technology, Local Government, Communications, Information Technology and Small Business.  Associate Minister Portfolios held were Tertiary Education, State Services, Health, Canterbury Earthquake Recovery and for Y2K.  From 2017 to 2020 Maurice was New Zealand’s Consulate General to the United States based in Los Angeles.  

Since returning to New Zealand in 2021, Maurice is Councillor at Auckland Council, Chairman of Expenditure and Control and Procurement Committee and Auckland Council and this year joined Auckland Transport as a Board Member.

Maurice has a major interest in sailing, tennis, music and photography and is also a keen follower of rugby and cricket.
